There was an interesting article on female quota in arts. It’s about a group of women who wear gorilla masks to get attention. They have chosen this animal due to the fact that it was a missunderstanding: The guerilla fighter was confused with the monkey gorilla. However the interesting thing is that they have chosen masks as an interface. On one hand it’s useful because you keep it in your mind and spend attention to it. The other part is that they have to keep anonymous because the want to shock and blame as a way of informing people. The demonstrate against people who didn’t took women serious in arts. There were so many women who never got famous because of the idealism during that century. I think it’s an interesting way to get attention and you definitely get it because everyone is looking at you when you come up with a gorilla mask.
