„Where do you get your inspiration from?“
We often ask this question other designers. My favourite inspiration is pinterest. In our job we spend so much time in researching and getting inspired. But what is inspiration? Laura Kalbag tells us about her experiences in school. You have to copy an artist work to experience the process. After that you should produce an own work by using the same techniques as the artist. Like that you learn how to apply the artists thinking in the context of our own work. When I look back at my time at school I must admit that it was a bit similar. So we got inspired by other artists.
When we should solve a design problem today it is not that different. Every design problem has differences however some of them could use similar approachs to solve the problem. So we search for ideas from other designers. I think it’s important to do that. However you have to be careful. Don’t just copy that ideas make it to your own ones. So learn from other designers and get your own style. Maybe after some years you can use your own works as resources.
